Full Bio

I am 38. Cisgender. Female. Married. Straight. White. A mother. New Mexican. Vermonter heart. Mental health counselor. An optimist. A believer in an interconnected world far greater than ourselves and our human understanding. A helper. A reader. A baker. A lover of: walking, food, random musings, research, writing, podcasts, gaining knowledge through curiosity and lifelong learning, race cars, bright sunny days when the sky is the purest blue and the clouds are puffy and seemingly endless, museums, travel, freshly washed bed linens. A believer in one’s own power to change and manifest dreams and desires. Divine. Agnostic. Spiritual. Frugal. Meaning seeking. Mindful. Yogi. An old soul. Calm. Anxious. Existentialist.

I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born and raised. Which creates a unique way of viewing the world. I love New Mexico, its people and the landscape. I have the Zia symbol tattooed on my left inner ankle, the bright magenta faded with time and numerous trips outside sans shoes. I don’t want to leave, and I am here to stay! I want to find ways to enrich our current climate. Seek answers and solutions for poorly funded education programming and generational poverty. I want investment in economic growth, and our diverse, eclectic, awe inspiring population. It is my deepest desire to create community, connecting with one another as this is where long lasting change begins.

I am still figuring this out, life. It changes by the millisecond and adjusting to change is half the fun and also what creates the most anxiety. This is my truth. My reality. The world in the way I perceive it to be. I am thankful that you have found me here at Engage and Ignite Counseling, and I look forward to getting to know you, connecting with you, and understanding this chaotic/exciting/wonderful world from your lens.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPCC) in the state of New Mexico with a clinical background in individual and group counseling and a focus on life-transitions, depression, anxiety, career counseling, adolescent issues, grief, and substance use. I am trained in Lifespan Integration (level 3) and working toward my certification- I was drawn to LI for its gentleness of addressing trauma and integrating an deeper knowing and wisdom using the story of ones life.
