Full Bio
Hi there! My name is Kyleigh Rivera (she/her/hers). I am a native New Mexican, a nature lover, dog-mom and a clinical mental health professional. I earned my Bachelors degree in Studio Art from Beloit College in 2013 and Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health from New Mexico Highlands University in 2023. My experience as a teen mentor at Taos Pueblo solidified my passion for helping others and prompted me to pursue the counseling profession. I have been a clinician with Engage and Ignite for several years and I've loved every minute of it.
My approach is Existential and person-centered and I use a creative, trauma-informed lens incorporating movement, expressive arts, mindfulness, and Polyvagal theory to help clients achieve holistic wellness. I believe through storytelling and creativity we as humans can make meaning of our experiences and emotions to cultivate deeper self-understanding and stronger connections with others. I proudly serve the New Mexico community I call home.
I am trained in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) and Safe and Sound Protocall (SSP).
