I view counseling as a supportive, collaborative, relationship rooted in curiosity and warmth.

I believe you already hold deep wisdom about yourself, and my role is to support you as you move towards greater wholeness.

Full Bio

I view counseling as a supportive, collaborative relationship rooted in curiosity and warmth. I believe all human beings seek to be seen and heard and free of suffering and that our identities and sense of meaning are shaped through relationships- with ourselves, our families, and our communities, cultures and systems of power.

I aim to create a warm, non-judgmental space where you can explore challenges at your own pace. I believe you already hold deep wisdom about yourself, and my role is to support you as you move towards greater wholeness. I'm interested in getting to know who you are, what you value, and your unique experiences, while acknowledging how intersecting identities shape your life.

In addition to my master's in counseling, I have a master's in divinity from a small Buddhist school east of Los Angeles. Prior to working as a therapist, I worked as an interfaith chaplain in two of the major hospitals in Albuquerque. I have also worked at a Buddhist-based addiction treatment center in LA.

I am a cisgenter, white, bi/pan, able-bodied U.S. American-born woman. I've lived in Albuquerque since 2020. I'm originally from a semi-rural area of Northern Virginia, adjacent to DC. I have also lived in Upstate NY, Washington D.C., the Bay Area, Austin TX, Northwest India, and most recently Los Angeles. I eat a plant-based diet and love to cook. I love reading fantasy and sci-fi, powerlifting, meditation, hiking and my two goofy dogs.

My therapy practice is a person-centered approach that draws from a variety of modalities, primarily DBT and narrative therapy, and I'm training in EMDR. I believe in harm reduction and exploring how we are impacted by oppressive systems of power in our day-to-day lives and relationships, including therapy itself.
