About Arturo

Picture
I believe therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating. Whether it’s your first time seeking support or you’re returning to the process, I’m here to provide a safe and supportive space where a strong therapeutic relationship can foster meaningful, collaborative progress. Healing the deepest parts of ourselves can be challenging, but it’s a journey we don’t have to take alone.

Full Bio

Hi, I’m Arturo, a dedicated counseling graduate student at The University of New Mexico, passionate about supporting individuals on their journey to healing and self-discovery. My professional background includes working with the New Mexico Crime Victims Reparation Commission, where I gained valuable experience collaborating with organizations around the entire state of NM to assist individuals and families statewide. This work has shaped my trauma-informed approach to counseling, which I combine with evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy. When I’m not studying or working with clients, you can find me immersed in art, experimenting in the kitchen, or enjoying music. I also love exploring different cultures, languages, and cuisines, which keep me inspired and connected to the world around me.
I’m excited to continue growing in this field and look forward to making meaningful impacts with those I work with.
